Martin O’Neill praised the “terrific” home support as Celtic secured a victory over Falkirk

The win marks Celtic’s fourth consecutive triumph in all competitions, a feat they have achieved only once before in this difficult season.

Martin O’Neill commended the “terrific” home support for standing firmly behind the team during Saturday’s 3-1 win over Falkirk, while cautioning against reading too much into the momentum at this stage.

The champions notched their third consecutive William Hill Premiership victory, playing in front of a packed and vibrant Celtic Park. The recently reinstated Green Brigade, along with fans from other sections of the stadium, contributed to an electric atmosphere.

This strong support could prove vital in the title race ahead, especially with key upcoming home matches against main rivals Rangers and Hearts still to come.

The Gaffer said “I think the support we got was terrific. They stayed with the team when there were moments of anxiety which I thought we showed for a little period of time and which could have spilled over into the crowd.

“They stayed with us, which was fantastic”

There were additional positives for O’Neill as well. Daizen Maeda extended his scoring streak to three goals in two matches, building on his breakthrough after ending a 17-game goal drought in the previous weekend’s Scottish Cup victory over St Mirren.
