Harry Redknapp has put an end to speculation linking him with the Celtic manager job. The former Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers boss made it clear that he has no interest in taking over at the Scottish club. Redknapp addressed the rumors directly, emphasizing that he is not involved in any discussions with Celtic and is focused on other projects.

He said: “I got invited up by my good friend Malcolm, who’s been a prominent figure for Hibs over the years. We had lunch with Malky Mackay and Peter Lawwell”

“It was the first time I’d met Peter, and he’s a nice man. I loved the atmosphere at Easter Road.

“It’s a lovely stadium, and I had a good day out.”

“Hibs looked to be in a great position, and then suddenly they’re down to nine men, and it’s backs to the wall.

“That was a big win for Hearts.”

On being questioned about the possibility of taking up the Celtic manager’s post, Redknapp, in his typical jovial manner, ruled himself out.

He said: “No, no.

“Listen, it’s an amazing club and a great job, but if Martin [O’Neill] isn’t going to get the job, then they’re not going to be bringing in someone older than him, that’s for sure.”

This statement comes amid growing uncertainty at Celtic, where fans and media have been eagerly watching for news on the managerial front. Despite his extensive experience and success in English football, Redknapp dismissed any possibility of returning to management in Scotland.

With Redknapp stepping back from the Celtic conversation, attention now turns to who will lead the club next. The search for a new manager continues, as Celtic looks to build on its strong legacy and compete at the highest level. For now, Redknapp’s message is clear: the Celtic job is not on his radar.
